Dr. Kenneth R. Sesley - Senior Pastor
Miracle Defined:
An event remarkable in that it goes contrary to the laws of nature, that is, to the usual course of events. (Eerdman's Bible Dict.)
Any Divine act of intervention into the ordinary course of nature, by suspending, superseding or speeding up the laws that govern nature; Explosions of the Almightiness of God into people's lives.
Key Verse:
1 Corinthians 5:7-8 ( NKJV ) 7Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover was sacrificed for us. 8Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Two Weeks Ago in Prayer, I heard the Lord Say Clearly:
TEACH ON, HOW TO IGNITE A SEASON OF MIRACLES
Exodus 12: 1, 11, 14, 17, 23-27
Passover is the Start of God's spiritual New Year, Not January. This is the beginning of everything for the people of God (Exodus 12:1, 11) where each year, God executed judgment against all the gods of Egypt (which represented the world system), in order to t deliver his people and every individual house that came up under the lamb's blood!
Keys to Igniting A Season of Miracles:
I. The Seasons of Your Life Are Determined by Your Seed
Galatians 6:7-10 (NKJV) 7Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
Due Season Here means: pertaining to one's self, one's own, belonging to one's self
A. Due seasons are the same for everyone in the body of Christ. Your due season pertains or belongs to you a
and you along depending on whether you have sown or not.
B. What you harvest is dependent totally upon what you sow, plant or give...that and that only will you reap.
I. The Seasons of Sowing are eternally ordained by God - Leviticus 23:1-44
A. God Ordained Three Major Seasons during 7 Feasts:
1. The Season of Passover, which has 3 feasts:
This Season Speaks of the Death, Burial & Resurrection of Jesus
(These are the Spring Feasts)
a. Unleavened Bread - 1 Corinthians 5:7
b. The Passover - 1 Corinthians 5:7
c. Firstfruits - James 1:18; 1 Cor. 16:15; 15:20,23
2. The Season of Pentecost and the Feast of Pentecost
This Season Speaks of the Church Age - Acts 2:1
(This was the Summer Feast)
3. The Season of Atonement, which has 3 feasts:
This Season Speaks of the Rapture, Judgment Day and The Millennium Reign of Christ!
(These were the Harvest Feasts)
a. The Feast of Trumpets - 1 Cor. 15:51-58; Rev. 4:1
b. The Day of Atonement - Rev. 20:11-15
c. The Feast of Tabernacle - Rev. 21
4. All of these Feasts are and were an annual panoply of God's plan of Redemption through the ages.
a. The Jews are ignorant of the fact that these seven feasts all speak of Jesus Christ and His program.
b. The Church is ignorant of the fact that these 3 seasons are God's predetermined opportunity for the windows of heaven to be opened and seasons of miracles to occur (Malachi 3:6-12)
B. God Ordained these 3 Seasons For Three Major Offerings: Exodus 23:14-17
1. Firstfruits
2. Pentecost
3. Tabernacles
C. God Ordained that the Passover Be accompanied by a Firstfruit Offering: There are 3 Different Kinds of Firstfruits:
1. The Firstfruit from the first harvest of entering the land:
a. When you come into the land and reap its harvest then bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest (Leviticus 23:10)
b. More than just agricultural harvest - Joshua 6
2. The Firstfruit of all your income - Proverbs 3:9-10
3. The Annual Commanded Seasonal Firstfruit Offerings at Passover and Weeks or Pentecost - Leviticus 23:17-20;Numbers 18:12;
D. God Ordained 7 Miraculous Blessings to occur as a result of this annual Passover Offering: Ex 23:
1. Divinely Directed Angelic Protection and Direction to Bring you into your wealthy place
2. Divine Provision and Prosperity
3. Divine Healing
4. Divinely Granted Fruitfulness and Fertility
5. Divinely Given Longevity of Life
6. Divine Intervention Against Your Enemies
7. Divine Establishment of our Boundaries
III. The Seed Ignites the Season of Miracles in Your Life
A. Firstfruits is a Commanded Offering, brought to the Priest of the House, to connect you with the anointing upon Him and so that He may command the blessing on your house and your life (Ezekiel 44:30), for a due season or a season of miracles!
1. Every Year God gives you and me an opportunity to sow a special Passover Firstfruits Seed that will release 7 Blessings or 7 Miracles in our lives as part of the windows of heaven Blessing (Malachi 3:6-10)
2. Don't be like the Officer whom the King of Samaria leaned upon in 2 Kings 7:1-20; 2 Chronicles 20:20.
3. You must pray about and sow a special Passover/Firstfruits Offering to ignite a 12 month Season of Miracles in your life.
B. Firstfruits is Not a "Jewish" thing, it's a Kingdom of God Principle to Release God's Miracle Anointing in our lives, regardless of our ethnicity, nation or time of birth - Luke 4:18, 19; 1 Kings 17:8-17;
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, He has sent Me to… proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD…But I tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months and there was a great famine throughout all the land, but to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarepheth, in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.
1. You must remember that in God's Kingdom, you don't get what you want, or even what you deserve, you get what you can manage - Luke 16:9-13
2. The Firstfruit and the Tithe are God's first Stewardship Principles to determine whether he can trust you.
3. So that's why God says, give me the best of all your firstfruits and you shall be blessed! (Exodus 44:29-30)
